Scott grew up travelling the world from a very young age and although his studies included obtaining a Law Degree, Masters in Law and Business in England, his love and passion for travel still prevailed. He decided to return to Canada and start a family business, Universal Travel, along with his Mother, and Brother. This agency has now been in business for over 18 years, currently operating from two locations in Newfoundland and has come to obtain many travel awards over the years. Some of the reputable companies that have acknowledged Universal Travel’s outstanding service include Carnival Cruise Lines, Globas Family of Brands, Encore Cruises, Travel Savers and many others.

Scott is most known for is his passion and his number one priority is taking care of his clientele. He treats each vacation he books as if it were his own, and the repeat business peaks volumes. This is something that sets him apart from the rest. As a family owned business, Scott was able to choose the décor and layout of his offices with a unique flavor that you won’t find in any other agency. From the time you walk in the doors, you are welcomed with beautiful leather furniture,mahogany touches and a fire place. The staff have individual offices to create a private environment so that they’re comfortable discussing all aspects of their vacation freely. Scotts motto has always been that the vacation should begin from the time you walk in the door to start planning. And he has definitely achieved this.

When he was just 5 years old Scott, his family (including his Mother Daphne and brother Derrick who are also involved in the business), embarked on an "around the world" 6 week cruise. He received an education that you cannot obtain from
a classroom and his passion began. Scott has done over 300 cruises, including river cruises, luxury liners, small intimate ships, large cruise ships, and everything in between. He has been to 6 continents, and just over 100 countries. He has done just about every type of travel and tour experience you can think of and from what we can tell, there is no stopping in sight! With this experience, he can properly train his staff and assist in finding the perfect vacation suitable for every person
who walks through the door.
