Arrival in Venice. Meet your English speaking tour leader at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in Mestre and check-in. Rest of the day and dinner at leisure. Overnight Mestre.

October 04. 2019 - DAY 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet coach and transfer to Piazzale Tronchetto. Meet private vaporetto and transfer to Venice city centre. Meet English speaking guide for a half-day sightseeing tour of Venice (2 hrs). You will enjoy a nice walk admiring the main attractions of this unique city, like Piazza San Marco with the Basilica, Doge’s Palace and Bridge of sighs, Torre dell’Orologio ending at Rialto bridge. Lunch at leisure. 30-minute gondola ride followed by afternoon at leisure (or optional tour/activity/visit with supplement). Meet private vaporetto and transfer to Piazzale Tronchetto. Meet coach and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Meet coach and departure for Florence. On the way stop at a vineyard located in Verona area for a visit followed by a wine tasting, this area is famous for the production of Amarone wine and Valpolicella wine. Proceed to Verona where you will enjoy a lunch at leisure and spend the afternoon on your own. Proceed to Florence.
Upon arrival in Florence check-in at the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

October 08, 2019 - DAY 7
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet English speaking guide for a half-day sightseeing tour of Florence (3 hrs). This walk will introduce you to the historic center of the city. We will cross the mostfamous squares: Piazza del Duomo, Santa Maria del Fiore with its Baptistery and Giotto’s Campanile, the Piazza della Signoria with the façade of the Palazzo Vecchio, the heart of Florentine life, a true open-air museum with historic andimportant statues, the Court Offices, the Republic Square with its elegant cafés, the Loggia del Porcellino and the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the oldest bridge over the Arno where you will find many gold shops. Lunch and afternoon at leisure (or optional tour/activity/visit with supplement). Dinner at leisure.

October 09, 2019 - DAY 8
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet coach and departure for Chianti area. Upon arrival in Siena you will meet your guide for a half-day sightseeing tour (3 hrs). You will discover the most hidden corners and fascinating squares of Siena, like Piazza del Campo, where in summer the famous “Palio” horse ride takes place and Piazza Santa Maria Assunta, with the famous Duomo and the Baptistery. You will proceed to a farm/vineyard like Vignamaggio or similar where you will enjoy a lunch with local products. Afternoon at leisure at the farm. Transfer back to the hotel.Dinner at leisure.

October 10. 2029 - DAY 9
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet coach and departure for Pisa where you will meet your English speaking guide for a quick half-day sightseeing tour of the town (2 hrs). You will have the opportunity to see its main important monuments like the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the monumental cemetery and the Baptistery, Piazza dei Cavalieri with the Tower of Conte Ugolino and the Carovana Palace. Proceed by coach to La Spezia where you will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the early afternoon you will meet your English speaking guide for a half-day sightseeing tour of Cinque Terre, 4 hrs. You will board a public boat and navigate through the coast from where you will admire all 5 nice villages, like Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Rio Maggiore. Time permitting you will have the possibility of stopping in 1 or 2 villages or take in nice walk. Return back to the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

October 11, 2019 - DAY 10
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Meet coach and departure for Naples/Sorrento area. Stop on the way in Assisi where you will your English speaking guide for a half-day sightseeing tour (2 hrs). You will admire its beauty through a nice walk to San Francesco Basilica, San Rufino Cathedral, Santa Chiara Basilica and Piazza del Comune. Proceed to Naples/Sorrento area. Check-in at the hotel. Lunch and dinner at leisure.

October 12, 2019 - DAY 11
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet coach and English speaking guide and transfer to Naples/Sorrento Port. Transfer by jetfoil from Naples/Sorrento to Capri. Some of the main features of the island include the Marina Piccola (the little harbour), the Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas), the limestone crags called sea stacks that project above the sea (the Faraglioni), the town of Anacapri, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), and the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas. Upon arrival we will take local mini-buses which will bring us through apanoramic path to Anacapri. We will walk through main attractions of the islands and admire the panorama with the Faraglioni. We will descend to Capri city centre where we will spend time at leisure through its narrow and characteristic streets. During the day a visit via sea to the marvellous Blue Grotto is included. In the afternoon we will reach the port of Capri with the funicular from where we will take the jetfoil back to Naples/Sorrento. Transfer by coach to the hotel. Lunch and dinner at leisure.

October 13, 2019 - DAY 12
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet coach and English speaking guide for a full-day excursion of Amalfi coast (8 hrs). The whole morning will be dedicated to the « Lemon culture », main product of the area. We will visit a “Limoneto” (Lemon Grove) where we will be given explnations on the growing of Limone Coasta d’Amalfi IGP and we will visit a farm dealing with the selection and transformation of the lemons. At the end we will visit a small producer of the famous liquor produced with these lemons, Limoncello. Lunch at the farm. Proceed for Amalfi where we will enjoy a guided visit of the town (2 hrs) including the Dom of S. Andrea Apostolo. We will take the mini-buses and continue the tour admiring the Costiera; we will stop in Positano Alta for a wonderful view on the coasts. Return back to the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

October 14, 2019 - DAY 13
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Meet coach and departure for Rome. On the way stop in Pompei where you will meet the guide for a half-day sightseeing tour (2 hrs). Pompei was buried by a disastrous eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Hot volcanic ash completely covered the city and trapped the inhabitants, leaving us with a still life picture of a Roman city of two thousand years ago. Pompei was rediscovered only by chance in 1748, under the kingdom of Charles of the Bourbon family and so far 80% of the city has been dug out. Since Pompeiwas not destroyed but just sealed off by volcanic matter, a visit to Pompei is not only an excursion but a trip back to the past: streets, shops, villas, baths are all intact, with still bright frescoes and mosaics. Proceed for Vesuvio area rich in vineyards, fruits trees and cereals. You will stop at a vineyard located at the foot of the Vesusio that produces the famous wine Lacryma Christi. You will visit the vineyard and their cellars and enjoy a lunch with local products and paired with a wine tasting. In the afternoon proceed to Rome and check-in at the hotel. Dinner at leisure.

October 15, 2019 - DAY 14
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet English speaking guide and coach at the hotel and departure for a full-day sightseeing tour of Imperial Rome + Vatican Museums (8 hrs). We will start the visit from the Vatican Museums with the Rooms of Raffaello, the Gallery of the Chandeliers, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Geographical Maps by ending to the marvellous Sixstine Chapel with the Michelangelo frescos. From here we will reach Saint Peter’s Basilica to discover its majesty, mosaics, statues among which the Pietà by Michelangelo. The visit will end in Saint Peter’s Square, expression of the genius of great artists. Lunch at leisure. The coach will drop-off us near the Colosseum, the most important symbol of ancient Rome, from where we will start the visit. We will continue through the Roman Forum, the political, commercial and religious centre of the old city. We will walk through the rests of the city, the Arch of Constantin, Saint Constantin Basilica, the Temple of Vesta, The Senate, the Arch of Titus. We will arrive at Piazza Venezia with its majestic Vittoriano, the national monument dedicated to the Unknown Soldier and we will climb the Capitol Hill from which terrace we can enjoy a panoramic view on the Forum. Rest of the day and dinner at leisure.

October 16, 2019 – DAY 15
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet English speaking guide and coach at the hotel and departure for a half-day of Baroque Rome (4 hrs). This walking tour will lead us to the main Baroque squares of Rome historical centre: we will go down the Spanish steps, throw a coin into the famous Trevi Fountain, see the beautiful Piazza Navona with its majestic fountains and admire the Pantheon Temple. During the sightseeing tour, we will stop at the popular “Tazza d’Oro” coffee shopto taste the delicious ‘Granita’, an iced creamy coffee with cream on the top. Lunch and afternoon at leisure (or optional tour/activity/visit with supplement). Dinner at a local restaurant in Rome (Like Ristorante Alfredo or similar).

October 17, 2019 - DAY 16
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Meet coach and transfer to the airport for your return flight to St. John’s.
